June 2007

I did a donor egg cycle but no pregnancy. I just paid agency $5000 to do another donor cycle in August!!! I only have 1 remaining tube and we only tried once this past cycle. Tested a few days after O it was negative. ( cycle very messed up as Od late..) AF very late and on day 49 (last Friday) I went to the clinic for blood work so they could give me Provera to bring cycle on so I could sync up with DOnor. They called me from Clinic the afternoon to say I had beta of 22000 and I went for u/s on Monday (25 June). For first time in my life we saw a heartbeat.

Thanks for everyone who said WAIT! But that 3-pack of HPT's was toooo much to resist... I got a fairly dark ++ on FRE - came up positive right away. I haven't seen a + on an HPT in over 3 years! - Susan

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I managed to get pg on my last cycle (5th) of Clomid. I was scheduled to start IUI/superovulation but I guess my fear of needles kick-started my ovaries! I am exactly 8 weeks pg and had my ultrasound this morning, everything seems OK so far, with a heartbeat and good growth. This will be my 3rd pg, the others ended in m/c. I am will be 41 in August. This time it took a year to get my BFP. - Georgina

Went for my u/s this morning. The tech smiled immediately and said, "Oh, we've got someone in there." Sure enough I could clearly see a little cashew (otherwise known as my little girl)and a bubble attached (the yolk sac). She then turned something on and I could hear the heart beat! Whoa!! 117 bpm, which I think is OK for 6 weeks 1 day.

Ladies, I can not thank you enough for your support. I now feel pretty good about this pregnancy since we know the genetics are OK. I go to my first OB appt on Wednesday. I really can't believe that! I guess this means I'll be hopping over to the other side, but I will be lurking over here all the time. I could never leave you ladies. You are all too important to me. Hope you all will be joining me over there very very soon!

What Should It Feel Like Taking Clomid?

You have probably been trying to get pregnant for awhile and have gone to your doctor or OB/GYN for some help. If you doctor recommends fertility drugs the usual first treatment choice is a pill called clomid. Clomid is the first treatment choice as it is easy to take and it is inexpensive.
